Lane10 Tent Added to Kansas Relays Experience

LAWRENCE, Kan. For the second-straight year at the Kansas Relays, fans will have an opportunity to enjoy their favorite food and beverages at the “Lane10 Tent”, which will be open during Friday and Saturday’s events. The Lane10 Tent will be located just north of the Rock Chalk Park track and will be open to all fans in attendance.
 
The area will be open beginning Friday at 7 a.m., and remain open until the final event Saturday evening.
 
Fans will have a wide variety of food and treat vendors to choose from, including Salty Iguana, 23rd Street Brewery, Mr. Bacon’s Barbecue and Torched Goodness.
 
The Lane10 Tent will include the Family Fun Zone, complete with inflatable games and other activities for the whole family. The Army ROTC and National Guard will also bring a climbing wall, as well as an authentic Military Police Armored Vehicle on display.
 
The Lane 10 Tent will also feature a Beverage Garden, to open at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, complete with beer and wine provided by Salty Iguana and 23rd Street Brewery. Fans 21 years and older can purchase a Beverage Garden membership for $20, which will include four beverages.
 
The Lane10 Tent will also be a perfect location to enjoy the fireworks show that will be featured on Saturday night.
 
 
The 89th Kansas Relays Presented by Subway
Now in its 89th year, the Kansas Relays returns as one of the most historic and popular collegiate and high school track & field competitions in the nation. This year’s meet is setting up to be another exciting event that will feature thousands of collegiate, post-collegiate and high school track athletes from across the United States in action over four days at Kansas’ state-of-the-art facility, Rock Chalk Park. The meet will again feature an exciting scored team competition during the final day of competition, with the host Kansas looking to defend its quadrangular title from a year ago against former Big 12 foe Nebraska as well as Colorado State and Rice.
 
Single day tickets for adults start at $10 and $5 for youth and seniors. KU Students will be admitted for free with a student ID. Fans can also go online at KUAthletics.com to purchase discounted tickets.
