Match Preview: at Kansas City
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas volleyball is slated to open the regular season at Kansas City in Swinney Recreation Center Friday, August 30 at 7 p.m.
Kansas played its lone exhibition of the season August 17 at Wichita State, beating the Shockers 3-2 at Charles Koch Arena. Seven Jayhawks will wear the Kansas uniform for the first time in a regular season match on Saturday.
Fans can watch the match on WAC Digital Network or listen on the Jayhawk Radio Network with Nick Springer calling the action.

KANSAS // KANSAS CITY CONNECTIONS
- Kansas assistant coach Billy Ebel was a volunteer assistant coach for Kansas City from 2011-13. Ebel left KC for Lipscomb (2013-17) prior to joining the Jayhawks.
- Kansas City head coach Chrisi Posey was an assistant coach for Kansas from 2000-2010 prior to taking the KC head coaching position.
- Posey is a 1982 Kansas graduate and played two seasons for the KU softball team as a first baseman and outfielder.
