MATCH PREVIEW: Tennis Prepares for June Stewart Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Kansas sends two freshmen, Luniuska Delgado and Vasiliki Karvouni, to compete in the June Stewart Invitational at Vanderbilt University this weekend.

Most recently, the Jayhawks competed in the ITA Central Regionals. Individually, Sonia Smagina went 3-1 in singles main draw where she reached the quarterfinals and Karvouni finished with a 2-1 record in the tournament with a round of 16 appearance.

Teams set to participate are Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Princeton, Middle Tennessee, Lipscomb and Kansas.

All matches will begin at 9 a.m. CT throughout the weekend. Matches are scheduled to be played outdoors at the Currey Tennis Center, however, if the weather takes a turn, matches will move indoors.
