Kansas Men’s Basketball Contests to be Televised in Canada on TSN in 2013-14

TORONTO – TSN, the official Canadian broadcaster of NCAA® MARCH MADNESS®, will televise every Kansas men’s basketball regular-season game during the 2013-14 season.

TSN will begin showing KU games with its regular-season opener against Louisiana Monroe on Nov. 8 in Allen Fieldhouse. From there TSN and TSN2 will allow the Canada fans to watch the Jayhawks, including Canada native and KU freshman Andrew Wiggins, the remainder of the season. TSN will post its full KU broadcast schedule at TSN.ca. as it becomes available.

Kansas is coming off a 31-6 season in which the Jayhawks won their unprecedented ninth-consecutive Big 12 Conference regular-season championship, the Big 12 Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. The Jayhawks return nine letterwinners from the 2012-13 team and its eight newcomers, including Wiggins, were ranked as the No. 2 recruiting class nationally.

Wiggins, a native of Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, was the consensus No. 1 recruit following the 2012-13 season and has appeared on nearly every preseason All-American team. He also was named to the 2013-14 Preseason All-Big 12 First Team is the Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year in a vote by the conference coaches.

In addition to KU’s regular-season games, TSN will offer wall-to-wall coverage of the NCAA Tournament from the opening round tipoff on March 18 through the championship game on April 7, 2014.
