LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas basketball remained at No. 3 in both the USA Today NABC Coaches’ Poll and the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 released on Monday after defeating No. 9 West Virginia and No. 4 Baylor last week. It is KU’s fourth-straight week at No. 3 in the AP poll and third-straight week in the same position in the coaches’ poll.

The Jayhawks received one first-place vote in the AP poll for the first time since Jan. 30 this season.

Kansas (24-3, 12-1 Big 12) has been ranked in each of the last 158 AP polls and 162 coaches’ polls dating back to the 2008-09 season, which are the longest active streaks in the nation, respectively.

KU has maintained a top-10 ranking in both national polls all season after entering the 2016-17 campaign No. 3 in the AP poll and No. 2 in the coaches’ poll.

Meanwhile, the Jayhawks were vaulted to No. 1 in the NCAA Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) for the first time this season while boasting a 5-0 record against top-10 teams and a three-game lead in the Big 12 Conference standings.
