LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Associated Press (AP) Top 25 ranked Kansas basketball No. 3 in its final poll of the season released on Monday. The Jayhawks enter the NCAA Tournament with a No. 3 ranking in the USA Today NABC Coaches’ Poll, which will be updated one more time after the conclusion of the tournament.

KU (28-4, 16-2 Big 12) won its 13th-straight Big 12 regular-season championship with a four-game lead and enter NCAA postseason play as a No. 1 seed for the seventh time under head coach Bill Self. KU is 5-0 against AP top-10 teams this season, including a 4-0 mark against top-5 teams.

Kansas has been ranked in each of the last 161 AP polls and 165 coaches’ polls dating back to the 2008-09 season, which are the longest active streaks in the nation, respectively. The Jayhawks have been ranked in the top-10 of the last 46 AP polls, since Jan. 26, 2015.

KU has been ranked in the top-10 in both national polls all season after entering the 2016-17 campaign No. 3 in the AP poll and No. 2 in the coaches’ poll.

Kansas is the No. 1 seed in the 2017 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, March 8-11 at Sprint Center in Kansas City. The Jayhawks’ quarterfinal game will be Thursday (1:30 p.m., ESPN2) against the winner of No. 8 seed TCU and No. 9 seed Oklahoma.
