Sporting News names Jackson a unanimous Freshman All-American

CHARLOTTLE, N.C. – Kansas freshman Josh Jackson is a unanimous selection to the Sporting News Freshman All-American Team, the publication announced Tuesday.

Joining Jackson on the freshman squad is Lonzo Ball (UCLA), Malik Monk (Kentucky), Markelle Fultz (Washington) and Miles Bridges (Michigan State). Jackson and Ball are the only unanimous selections to the team.

Jackson was named All-America Second Team by The Sporting News on Monday and earned the same accolade by USA TODAY. A native of Detroit, Jackson was named the 2017 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, was on the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team and joined KU senior Frank Mason III on the All-Big 12 First Team.
