CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Kansas men’s golf team finished in 14h with a three round score of 898 (+46), behind sophomore Connor Peck’s tournament total of 222 (+9), at the Irish Creek Collegiate, Sunday in Charlotte, N.C., at the Club at Irish Creek.

Kansas ended its tournament with a third and final round of 309 (+25). Peck led the Jayhawks on the final day as he carded a 75 (+4), placing him in a tie for 30th in the 88-player field.

Freshman Chase Hanna and senior Ryley Haas ended the event tied in 58th as they each carded a three-round total of 226 (+13). Hanna on the final day shot a 77 (+6), with two birdies, while Haas went on to shoot a 79 (+8) on Sunday.

KU sophomore Ben Welle ended his tournament with an 81 (+10), bringing his total to 228 (+15) putting him in a tie for 65th.

Junior Logan Philley rounded out the Jayhawk five as he carded a final round 78 (+7), making his total on the weekend 231 (+18), putting him in a tie for 77th.

Georgia State won the tournament with a three round score of 859 (+7), behind a third round 289 (+5). Finishing just one stroke behind was North Florida who carded an 860 (+8), after shooting a final round 290 (+6).

Up next the Jayhawks will travel to Iowa City, Iowa, where they will compete in the Hawkeye Invitational, on April 12-13.
