BLOCK THAT GUY – Sophomore quarterback Miles Kendrick pointed out a defensive player he wanted to be blocked during a live scrimmage on the KU practice fields on Thursday, April 12. The junior college transfer is taking part in his first spring football practice for the Jayhawks.

TACKY – Before an at-bat during the KU game against St. John’s inside Hoglund Ballpark on Sunday, March 11, the batting helmet of junior Rudy Karre bore the tacky residue that builds and builds from the pine tar rubbed onto his baseball bat, then transferred to his batting gloves and, finally, to his batting helmet with every adjustment.
