Lion King chosen for Movie Night at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium presented by DST Systems

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Fans selected “Lion King” to be the featured film when Kansas Athletics hosts Movie Night at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium presented by DST Systems on Thursday, June 14.  Gates to David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and the Fun Zone, complete with inflatable games, will open at 5 p.m.  The movie will begin on the stadium video board at 7 p.m.  Admission is free to all members of the community.  Parking will also be free in lots surrounding the stadium after 5 p.m.

Gates on the west side of Memorial Stadium and at field level on either side of the video board will be open.  Seating for the movie will be available on Kivisto Field with guests encouraged to bring their own pillows and blankets.  Due to the Touchdown Club structure in the south endzone, it is suggested to stay behind the 30 yard line for visibility of the video board. Chairs will not be allowed on the playing surface.  Bleacher and limited mobility seating will also be available in David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the evening.  In addition to traditional stadium concessions fare, several local vendors will be serving select menu items throughout the evening.  All guests will be allowed to bring in one unopened bottle of water.
