Jayhawks past and present set for USA, Jamaican track & field championships

LAWRENCE, Kan. – A large number of Kansas track & field greats from past and present are set to compete at the USA Track & Field and Jamaican national championships, June 21-24. The USATF Outdoor Championships will take place at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa and the Jamaican National Senior Championships will be contested in Kingston, Jamaica at National Stadium, June 21-24.

The USATF Outdoor Championships will be televised through NBCSN and NBC. Thursday’s action will be available online only through NBC Sports Gold with coverage starting at 1 p.m. CDT. Friday’s action will have a tape-delayed broadcast on NBCSN starting at 10 p.m. through midnight and a live stream will be available through NBC Sports Gold starting at 11:30 a.m. NBC will televise Saturday and Sunday’s action live starting at 3 p.m. with coverage concluding at 5 p.m., with both days also having online coverage through NBC Sports Gold. Saturday’s online stream will start at 10 a.m. and Sunday’s will be available starting at 11:30 a.m.

2018 JAYHAWKS IN ACTION
First Team All-Americans Bryce Hoppel (800m) and Courtney Coppinger (3,000m Steeplechase) will be running in their signature events at the USATF Championships and Second Team All-American Barden Adams (Triple Jump) will also be competing in Des Moines. Juniors Ivan Henry and Marleena Eubanks will be running at the Jamaican National Championships, with Henry competing in the 400-meter dash and Eubanks running in the 800 meters.
