Finley takes fourth at NACAC Senior Championships

TORONTO – Kansas track & field alum Mason Finley placed fourth in the discus at the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Senior Championships while representing the United States on Sunday, August 12 at Varsity Stadium in Toronto, Canada.
 
Finley recorded a mark of 61.55 meters (201-11 ft.) on his fifth attempt of the day for his best throw. Jamaica’s Fredrick Dacres won the event with a mark of 68.47 meters (224-7 ft.).
 
KU junior Ivan Henry competed on Jamaica’s 4×400-meter relay team as well on Sunday, but the team was one of two disqualified in the race.
 
UP NEXT
Kansas men’s track & field pole vaulter Hussain Al Hizam will compete for his home country of Saudi Arabia in the Asian Games, August 18-September 2, in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia.
