KU Soccer to host “Pack the Park” vs. Oklahoma
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Numerous events will surround Kansas soccer’s Big 12 opener to help fans pack Rock Chalk Park when the Jayhawks take on Oklahoma on Sept. 21. A pre-game tailgate and a KU soccer scarf giveaway are just a few of the promotional activities fans will be able to enjoy when the Jayhawks kick off conference play against the Sooners.
Pre-Match Tailgate
- Rock Chalk Park parking lot will be open starting at 5:30 p.m., and fans are encouraged to come early to tailgate before the match.
- Angry River Barbecue food truck
- Live music from “The Creamery”
- Tailgating games and appearances from Big and Baby Jay.
KU Soccer Scarf Giveaway
- Fans in attendance will get a limited edition Kansas soccer jersey scarf. Limited to one scarf per person while supplies last.
Student Night
- KU students are encouraged to attend the match and will be admitted for free with their student ID.
The Jayhawks are currently 6-1-2 in their 2018 campaign as they head into the first weekend of conference play. KU, currently ranked No. 24, has suffered just one defeat, a 3-0 loss at the hands of No. 4 Texas A&M. Kansas will meet the Oklahoma Sooners (4-4-1) in a 7 p.m. match at Rock Chalk Park.
