MCFALLS’ QUOTES
On beating Green Bay three times this weekend …
It is a huge confidence builder for us heading into Big 12 play against Baylor. We grabbed a little momentum and we feel pretty prepared right now. We had a tough start to the season and have had a lot of close games. We are starting to figures things out, playing smarter and better as a team. Hannah Todd’s performance today was huge for us. Our pitching staff is getting better for us and that is going to be important for us heading into the Big 12 because it is going to take all of them. Offensively we are learning to have better quality at bats, trying to get runners in scoring position and push runs across the plate in the pressure situation is important.

On what Kansas can use from this series heading into the Big 12 conference opener against Baylor …
Wichita State is very good team. When you play a team like that that close and you have an opportunity to win, it is painful because you put yourself in a situation to win. As hard as it is to lose that game, it gave them confidence heading into this weekend against Green Bay. Our player’s mindset has been on how they are going to get the job done. It was big for us to get the three wins this weekend. Our bats have been solid overall, we have had spurts of great defense at times, but there is always work to do. The biggest thing for us this week is to get rested and healthy, while preparing for Baylor this weekend. Excited about the week and for our players to give their mind and bodies rest.
