Pitchers dominate in Kansas win over Ottawa

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas softball finishes off their fall schedule strong with a 25-7 victory over visiting Ottawa University inside Arrocha Ballpark.

KU’s pitching was on display for most of the night as the team tallied 23 strikeouts out of a possible 30 outs. Sophomore Lexy Mills finished with a game-high nine strikeouts in her three innings of work while freshman Tatum Goff was not far behind, ending the night with eight in three innings.

Offensively the Jayhawks were also clicking throughout the 10-inning contest. Redshirt sophomore Sydnee Ramsey crushed a three-run home run to center field to help tie her for the team-high in RBIs with four. Sophomore Morgyn Wynn joined Ramsey on the night as she went 3-5 with four RBIs as well.

With the victory, Kansas ended its fall season with a 7-1 overall record.
