Rain delays cause Big 12 Championship start to Saturday

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. – Kansas men’s golf was ready to begin their 2019 postseason with the first two rounds of the Big 12 Championship on Friday; however, the weather was not going to give the event the opportunity. Due to heavy rain and wind expected to continue throughout the day the start of the championship has been pushed to Saturday.

Thanks to the weather cancelation, the championship will now consist of three rounds instead of four. Teams will plan to play the first two rounds (36 holes) on Saturday followed by the final 18 holes on Sunday. The No. 29 Jayhawks enter the tournament as the seventh seed and will be playing alongside eighth-seeded Iowa State Saturday morning.

Live scoring for the event can be found on Big12Sports.com or on golfstat.com.
