RCW: A Look Back 3.11

This week, let’s take A Look Back at Kansas women’s cross country’s most successful runner: Julia Saul.
 Julia Saul

Julia Saul

On the squad from 1991 through 1993, Saul earned the program’s highest individual conference finishes (fourth in 1991 and 1993, third in 1992) and individual NCAA Regionals finishes (first in 1991, sixth in 1992 and fourth in 1993), and is the only female Jayhawk cross country runner to compete at NCAA Nationals three times in her career.

Her highest finish – 18th in 1992 – earned her All-America accolades and remained the highest in program history until Sharon Lokedi’s 10th-place run in 2015.  Saul’s other NCAA finishes include a 32nd-place run in 1991 and a 65th-place finish in 1993.
