RCW: A Look Back 3.17

As the Christmas holiday nears, let’s take A Look Back eight years to the 2008 State of Kansas Christmas Tree official ornament. This brass and enamel ornament was designed by Topekan Anita Wolgast to hang on the Kansas Tree in Washington D.C. 

The tradition of the National Christmas Tree and the Pathway of Peace (along which are placed the 56 state and territory trees) began in 1923 under President Coolidge.
