RCW: A look back 3.3
Rock Chalk Weekly takes a weekly look back into the archives of the Booth Hall of Athletics to deliver interesting artifacts and the fascinating stories behind them. Explore Kansas history and tradition inside this edition.
This week, let’s take A Look Back at a Kansas soccer great, defenseman Holly Gault. Gault was the team’s first-ever National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) First-Team All-American in 2004, when she helped lead KU to its third NCAA Tournament berth. At the end of her career in 2006, Gault was in the top-five of six career statistical categories: matches started (second, 82), matches played (fifth, 85), career assists (second, 19), career shots (fourth, 122), game-winning goals (fifth, 5), and career points (fourth, 49). In 2005, she was the only Jayhawk selection to the Big 12 Conference 10th Anniversary Team.
