RCW: A Look Back 3.9

In preparation for the Homecoming football game against Oklahoma State on Saturday, let’s take A Look Back at a Sunday edition of The University Daily Kansan. The front page of the November 22, 1925 issue, which is a part of the Kansas Athletics artifact collection, declares that KU beat the Missouri Tigers 10-7 on Homecoming Day. The recap article states that Missouri scored first, but Kansas stormed back to victory in “the most thrilling game played on Kansas’ field since the great 20-20 battle with Nebraska [that triggered the fundraising for the construction of Memorial Stadium] five years ago.”
