HERE’S TO YOU – The hands of redshirt juniors, linebacker Joe Dineen Jr., and kicker Gabriel Rui, lined up for a congratulatory handshake after Rui connected on a 50-yard field goal in the first quarter of KU’s final game of the season against Oklahoma State inside Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Saturday, November 25.

WELL DONE – Hand-in-hand, KU swimmers Crissie Blomquist and Jenny Nusbaum quietly congratulated each other after the freshman and sophomore, respectively, finished the 1,650-yard freestyle at the Kansas Classic inside the Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka, Kansas, on Sunday, November 19. Nusbaum won the race and Blomquist took second to help the Jayhawks win the three-day event.

NICE GAME – Slapping hands in the locker room, senior Svi Mykhailiuk and redshirt sophomore Malik Newman congratulated each other after the duo helped lead KU to victory over Kentucky in the State Farm Champions Classic inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, on Tuesday, November 14.

FLYING – Senior Madison Straight flew down her lane during the butterfly leg of the 400-yard individual medley on Saturday, November 18, inside the Capitol Federal Natatorium during the Kansas Classic. Straight took fourth place in the event.

THE COACH – KU’s David Beaty waited for the introductions of the 10 football seniors inside Memorial Stadium on Saturday, November 18, before the Jayhawks took on Oklahoma. After the final game of the season, Director of Athletics Sheahon Zenger announced Beaty would be back to coach the football team for the 2018 season.
