LET IT RAIN – Water flew through the air as the KU soccer team joyously celebrated its 2-1 victory over defending National Champion and No. 7 USC inside Rock Chalk Park on Sunday, September 3.

SHOCKING – Junior Grace Hagan, senior Maddie Dobyns, junior Alex Schweitzer and sophomores Taylor Christie, Katie McClure and Mandi Duggan reacted with shock and laughter after climbing into ice tubs after a KU soccer practice inside Rock Chalk Park on the surprisingly cool evening of Friday, August 4.

BRIGHT VIEW – Junior tennis players Janet Koch and Nina Khmelnitckaia tested the eclipse glasses that were distributed on Sunday, August 20, at the Welcome Back Barbecue for KU’s student-athletes ahead of the eclipse of the sun on Monday the 21st.

WAITING AND WAITING – KU sophomore rowers Kaitlyn Finger and Kalyn Blessing, along with senior rower Caitlin McNulty, waited in their boat on the Kansas River with the hopes that the clouds would clear to reveal the eclipse of the sun on Monday, August 21. Unfortunately, the clouds failed to clear in time.

OH, THE JOY – The No. 9 KU volleyball team gleefully celebrated a key point during the three-set victory over No. 13 Kentucky in the home-opening match inside the Horejsi Family Athletics Center on Monday, September 4.

DRY PATCH – Members of the Marching Jayhawks drumline found refuge under the bridge connecting Allen Fieldhouse and the DeBruce Center on the KU campus during a rain shower on Wednesday, August 16, as the drummers prepared for the upcoming football season. The bridge houses the 13 Original Rules of “Basket Ball,” and those rules are also etched on the metal siding of the bridge.
