IT’S IN THE HOLE – KU freshman golfer Sera Tadokoro danced with joy after picking her ball out of the cup on the eighth hole at the Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta, Kansas, on Sunday, September 3. After her drive landed in a creek that runs across the fairway and taking a penalty stroke, Tadokoro’s approach hit the flag stick and fell into the hole for a remarkable birdie on the par-4 hole.

BACK TO THE FUTURE – Director of Athletics Sheahon Zenger happily emerged from a replica of the DeLorean time machine vehicle used in the popular 1985 movie “Back to the Future” following the annual Rock Chalk Choice Awards inside the Lied Center on the KU campus on Sunday, September 10. The evening’s events celebrated the top athletic and academic achievements from the past school year.
