 Dock Walk

DOCK WALK – KU swimmers, sophomore Jenny Nusbaum, freshman Lauryn Parrish and junior Haley Bishop, walked along the dock at Lone Star Lake southwest of Lawrence to begin their warmup for the 5K Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Open Water Championship on Saturday, September 16. The trio of Jayhawks won the team title.

LIGHTFOOTIN’ – Mitch Lightfoot relaxed on the KU practice facility court and recorded a video of a teammate performing high-speed still-photography action sequences for the 2017-18 men’s basketball introduction video on Tuesday, September 12, before the sophomore took his turn in front of the camera.

Mind Bender

MIND BENDER – Not only did KU quarterback Peyton Bender have to face the pressure of the Ohio University defensive line, the junior had to face down the giant Bobcat mascot inflatable tunnel as he threw a 34-yard pass in the fourth quarter to sophomore receiver Evan Fairs in Athens, Ohio, on Saturday, September 16.

Bag Buddies

BAG BUDDIES – The Jayhawk that covered the head of junior Ariadna Fonseca Diaz’s driver shared room in the KU golfer’s bag with another head cover, the blue M&M commercial character, during the final round of the Marilynn Smith Invitational at Colbert Hills golf course in Manhattan, Kansas, on Tuesday, September 19.

Palms

PALMS – Pitsinee Winyarat high-fived KU women’s golf coach Erin O’Neil, along with associate head coach Katy Nahm, after the senior drove the 316-yard, par-4 13th hole at Colbert Hills during the final round of the Marilynn Smith Invitational on Tuesday, September 19. While Winyarat missed her eagle putt, she tapped in for a birdie which helped her finish in fifth place overall.
