DATE NIGHT AT THE PHOG – Anthony and Jessica Johnson traveled from Minneapolis, Kansas, and set up their tent for a “date night” on the east lawn outside Allen Fieldhouse on Friday, September 29, with hopes of being at the front of the line for the public’s entrance into the Fieldhouse for Late Night in the Phog on Saturday.

LIVING MURAL – The massive crowds lined up outside Allen Fieldhouse for entrance to Late Night in the Phog created a living mural reflecting in the windows of the DeBruce Center as three generations of KU fans relaxed before the popular kickoff to the KU basketball season on Saturday, September 30.

BLUE HUE – Light banks cast a blue hue on Sydney Benoit, Jessica Washington, Eboni Watts and Chayla Cheadle as the seniors kicked up their heels and showed off their moves during the KU women’s basketball dance performance during Late Night in the Phog inside Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday, September 30.

A BIG ENTRANCE – Seven-foot sophomore center Udoka Azubuike acknowledged the thunderous cheers of fans as the big man was introduced inside Allen Fieldhouse during Late Night in the Phog on Saturday, September 30.

NOW THE WORK BEGINS – With their Late Night in the Phog skits and dance performances completed, freshman Marcus Garrett, redshirt sophomore Malik Newman and the other KU men’s basketball team members thrust their arms into the air before readying for the 20-minute scrimmage that kicked off official practices for the Jayhawks’ season on Saturday, September 30, inside Allen Fieldhouse.
