DEW TOUR – Freshman KU golfer Ben Sigel, with one of his playing partners, walked the heavily dew-covered fairway of the second hole at Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Georgia, on Tuesday, October 17. Sigel’s group was the first to tee off on a crisp morning for the final round of the Autotrader Collegiate Classic.

Grass Stains

GRASS STAINS – The dirt and grass-stained jersey of KU’s Joe Dineen Jr., reflected the linebacker’s 16 total, and 10 solo, tackles during the Iowa State game played on a wet grass Jack Trice Stadium field on Saturday, October 14, in Ames, Iowa. Dineen leads the Big 12 with 77 tackles, ranks third in the NCAA with 12.8 tackles per game and is first in the Big 12 and NCAA with 8.2 solo tackles per game. The redshirt junior is tops in the Big 12 and second in the NCAA with two tackles-for-loss per game.

STUDY TIME – After a storm in Ames, Iowa, forced a 30-minute delay of the start of the KU football game against Iowa State, quarterbacks Peyton Bender and Carter Stanley used the time to study play sheets inside the locker room of Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday, October 14.

HIGH-HANDED ATTITUDE – One certainty at every KU volleyball match is that senior defensive specialist Addie Barry will keep spirits high with her positive attitude as she did while high-fiving her teammates during the match against Texas inside the Horejsi Family Athletics Center on Wednesday, October 11.

A HEAD ABOVE – At seven-feet-tall, Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid stood a full head and neck above the mob of media that engulfed the former Kansas center after the NBA team practiced inside Allen Fieldhouse on Thursday, October 12, a day before an exhibition game against the Miami Heat in Kansas City’s Sprint Center.
