RCW: By the numbers - Men's Basketball

The most important statistic for any basketball team starts and ends with wins and losses, however there are some other notable numbers to consider as the Jayhawks come down the home stretch with high hopes.

Freshman Josh Jackson has been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week a KU-record five times in 2016-17. Jackson surpassed Tyshawn Taylor who earned the honor four times during the 2010-11 season.

Senior Frank Mason III is only the sixth KU player in school history to rank in the top 19 in career scoring with 1,529 points, and in the top 11 in career assists (493). He joins former KU greats Sherron Collins, Darnell Valentine, Kirk Hinrich, Kevin Pritchard and Tyshawn Taylor.
