The sophomore big man was just that for the Jayhawks last week, as Udoka Azubuike averaged 20.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in the pair of KU victories. He collected his first-career double-double in the 102-59 win over Oakland (Nov. 24), as he tossed in 21 points and hauled in 10 rebounds. For the week, the Nigeria native shot 67.9 percent from the field on 19-for-28 shooting.  He also added three blocks and a pair of steals.

  

 

LAGERALD VICK

Junior Lagerald Vick nearly averaged a double-double for the week, as the Jayhawks downed Texas Southern (114-71) and Oakland (102-59). Vick posted 17.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game during the week, while averaging the second-most minutes on the squad (31.0). Vick shot 13-for-20 (.650) from the field, including 5-for-7 (.714) on threes. He also posted 10 assists, three blocked shots and three steals while committing only two turnovers.

  

 

KYLEE KOPATICH

Junior Kylee Kopatich led the Jayhawks in nearly every category last week in the wins over Delaware State and Rice. Kopatich averaged 20.5 points and 6.0 rebounds while leading the team with nine combined assists. She shot 15-for-29 (.517) from the floor, including a 10-for-21 effort (.476) on threes. Kopatich enters this week on a five-game double-digit scoring streak.

  

 

BRIANNA OSORIO

Junior Brianna Osorio came up big in the fourth quarter in Sunday’s 73-65 win over previously unbeaten Rice. Osorio sank two of her four 3-pointers in the final quarter and added a pair of steals to seal the victory for the Jayhawks. For the week, Osorio averaged 12 points and three rebounds per game. She shot 8-for-15 from the field (.533) including 5-for-9 (.556) on threes.  She also dished out eight assists and added three steals.
