RCW: KU Leads Career Development Workshops

On Sunday, April 9 KU Leads provided multiple opportunities for student-athletes to hone their skills outside of sports. 

The first event was a resume workshop to teach student-athletes how to properly craft a professional resume. It is key for student-athletes to draw upon their unique experiences within their sport and find skills transferable to the workplace. 

An interview prep session was the second event. It was designed to inform participants how to prepare prior to an interview, proper etiquette during the interview and what to do post-interview. This is important because of how vital the interview process is in landing a job once their athletic playing days are over. 

Events like these are key aspects to KU Leads’ programming geared toward professional development.
