RCW: Senior Student-Athlete and Donor Roundtable

On Monday, October 9, senior Jayhawk student-athletes had the opportunity to attend the inaugural Senior Student-Athlete & Donor Roundtable at the Adams Alumni Center. After an introduction from Matt Baty, Associate Athletics Director – Williams Education Fund, Marketing & Sales, donors rotated around the room to different tables of athletes every 10 minutes.

This event focused on student-athletes being able to engage with high-level professionals who are members of the Williams Education Fund. In turn, the WEF members provided KU’s current senior student-athletes insight on how to successfully transition from college into the workforce, developing a career plan and professional goals, interview strategies, networking advice, and becoming a leader in their field of choice.

Several K Club members were among the donors who attended the event and they were able to explain how their experiences as student-athletes propelled them into the professional phase of their lives.

The night concluded with student-athletes having an opportunity to approach donors they had yet to speak with and/or to ask additional questions they did not get to during the roundtable rotations.
