After sitting out the 2015-16 season to comply with NCAA transfer rules, redshirt junior guard Jessica Washington stormed onto the hardwood to pace the Jayhawks’ offense this season. Washington is averaging 16.8 points per game on the season, but in Big 12 Conference play she is netting 20.4 points per contest. Washington’s 20.4 points per game lead the league in scoring in conference play. Washington has recorded a total of 15 double-digit scoring performances, including seven games with 20 or more points.
 

 

MCKENZIE CALVERT

Redshirt sophomore guard McKenzie Calvert has proven to be a spark in Kansas’ offense in 2016-17 after sitting out the season before to comply with NCAA transfer rules. Calvert is averaging 11.4 points per game, second-best on the squad this season. The Schertz, Texas native has recorded 12 double-digit scoring performances, including a career-high 30 points against UC Riverside (12/21).

 

 

KYLEE KOPATICH

Much like her freshman campaign, sophomore guard Kylee Kopatich leads the squad in minutes played with 605 so far in 2016-17. Kopatich has started all 21 games halfway through the season and is averaging 28.8 minutes per game. Kopatich is scoring 9.4 points per contest and leads the team with 104 rebounds. Kopatich has registered 11 double-figure scoring efforts in 2016-17.

 

CAELYNN MANNING-ALLEN

Senior forward Caelynn Manning-Allen has overcome injuries in her final season in the Crimson and Blue and is making the most of her time on the hardwood. Manning-Allen has appeared in 18 games and made two starts. She is averaging 4.6 points, while shooting 39.3 percent from the field. Defensively, Manning-Allen has grabbed 4.2 boards per game and leads KU with 22 blocks. Manning-Allen is coming off two of her best performances of the season at Oklahoma State (1/25) and against Texas Tech (1/28). The Chicago, Illinois native recorded four blocks at OSU and was two rebounds shy of her third career double-double against Texas Tech after recording 10 points and eight rebounds.
