Coyotes Delayed, UNF Tournament Slate Adjusted

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – For the second weekend in a row, winter weather has affected Kansas Softball’s schedule despite an escape to warmer climate. Wintry weather kept South Dakota, one of five teams competing at this weekend’s UNF Tournament, from making the trek to Jacksonville Thursday and tournament officials announced an adjustment to Friday’s games to accommodate.

Kansas was scheduled to play the Coyotes twice, but will have wait until Sunday and will only get one shot to avenge a loss from last season. The Jayhawks open with two games Friday, first against Stony Brook at 9 a.m. (CT) and against tournament-host North Florida at 1:30 p.m. (CT).

KU will play at the same times on Saturday with a morning match-up against Siena, before again matching up against UNF.

KU and South Dakota finally meet Sunday at 9 a.m. in the tournament finale for the Jayhawks. Live stats and live audio for all five games are available by clicking on links on the softball schedule page at KUAthletics.com.
