The 2016 Jayhawks take the field for the first time in October for eight fall games, including the annual Fall Tournament. Kansas hosts all eight games at Rock Chalk Park, starting Oct. 1 against Baker University.
KU welcomes Avila, Labette, Washburn and Butler for a two-day tournament Oct. 3-4. Following the four-game tournament, Kansas will face Cowley County on Oct. 8.
Next, the Jayhawks square off with Rockhurst on Oct. 15 before concluding their fall slate with Johnson County on Oct. 20.
Coming off back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament, Kansas returns 16 letterwinners, including seven starters, from last season’s roster and welcomes nine additions to the squad for 2016. Among those returning to the diamond in Crimson and Blue are All-Big 12 First Team selection Chaley Brickey and Big 12 co-Freshman of the Year Daniella Chavez.
