Kansas Softball Announces Fall Slate

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Head coach Megan Smith announced Kansas softball’s fall lineup in preparation for the 2015 season. The Jayhawks will play a total of eight games in the month of October. KU will host the annual Jayhawk Fall Invitational, along with four additional home match-ups.
“We are excited about being at Rock Chalk Park and the opportunity to play several games out there this fall,” said Smith. “We’ve been working hard and displaying a lot of effort during individual workouts, but we’re eager to get the 2015 team on the field working together in live-game situations for the first time.”
The Jayhawks commence their fall season on Oct. 2 against Johnson County Community College for their first contest in the new Arrocha Ballpark at Rock Chalk Park.
Next, KU hosts the two-day Jayhawk Fall Invitational, Oct. 4-5. The tournament features games against Washburn, Southern Nazarene, Butler and Labette Community College.
Kansas will conclude its fall season with three additional match-ups at Rock Chalk Park against Cowley Community College (Oct. 7), Baker University (Oct. 9), and Avila University (Oct. 16).
