PHOTO UPDATE: More Concrete, Track Surface and Lights at Rock Chalk Park
The season is beginning to change in Lawrence as September ends and October begins, but no change is faster than the transformation at Rock Chalk Park where construction continues on Kansas Athletics’ new track and field, softball and soccer facilities.
All three complexes have seen drastic changes since the last photo update, with another coating of track surface being laid on the runway, lights being installed at the softball field, and concrete being poured for the grandstand at the soccer field. Outside the facility, work on the parking lot has started with concrete strips giving shape to the rows.
