KU Softball Fall Opener Washed Out

LAWRENCE, Kan. – After a full day of stormy conditions, which are anticipated to continue into the evening, Kansas softball has cancelled its opening Fall game against Johnson County Community College.

The Jayhawks now begin their Fall slate on Oct. 4 with games against Washburn and Southern Nazerene at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, at Rock Chalk Park. KU continues Fall tournament action on Sunday, Oct. 5 with two more games against Butler and Labette also at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Kansas returns six starters and 13 letterwinners from last year’s roster, while welcoming nine newcomers including seven freshmen and two transfers.
