🏐 Six Jayhawks Named To Academic All-Big 12 Volleyball Teams

IRVING, Texas – Six Kansas volleyball student-athletes were named to the 2019 Academic All-Big 12 Volleyball Teams as announced by the conference office.

A total of 72 Big 12 student-athletes were selected to the two different teams with 61 being selected to the first team and 11 on the second team.

Camryn Ennis (Sophomore // Biology), Rachel Langs (Sophomore // Speech, Language, Hearing), Jacqui Mostrom (Junior // Liberal Arts and Sciences), Allie Nelson (Senior // Finance) and Audri Suter (Sophomore // Exercise Science) were named to the first team. Lacey Angello (Sophomore // Communication Studies) was selected to the second team.

Nelson has now been recognized four times for her achievements in the classroom. The senior from Chicago, Illinois was a 2016-17 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team selection, a 2017 Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree and a 2018 second team selection.

First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
