Ridling claims Big 12 Player of the Week honors

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas junior Harli Ridling claimed her second career Big 12 Player of the Week honor after helping KU to a 3-0 record last weekend, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The conference weekly accolade is the first for Ridling in 2017 and first since she was named Big 12 Player of the week during the 2014 season.
 
The Sentinel, Oklahoma native batted .714 in three starts last weekend with a team-best two home runs and nine RBIS. She recorded a total of five hits, including two homers and a double, while registering a 1.714 slugging percentage and a .625 on-base percentage.
 
In her first start of the weekend, Ridling went 2-for-2 with a double, a home run and five RBIs against Green Bay. Ridling recorded another multi-hit effort in the second game versus Green Bay after going 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs. The junior also picked a runner off at first base and caught a runner stealing to go with her 14 putouts and two assists.
