2007 (RS Junior): Made 12 appearances out of the bullpen … Posted a 3.94 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 16.0 innings pitched … Allowed only one earned run in his first seven appearances of the season (8.1 innings) … Had two scoreless outings at No. 8 Texas A&M (3/16 and 3/17) and a scoreless inning against No. 6 Texas (4/5).

2006 (RS Sophomore): Made eight appearances … Struck out a season-high two batters against North Dakota State (4/12) … Also struck out a pair in an inning of work against Bradley (5/12).

Summer 2005: Made 13 appearances and started five games for the Fayetteville SwampDogs of the Coastal Plain League … Compiled a 3.46 ERA and a 1-4 record in 39 innings of action … Was a teammate of current Jayhawk Don Czyz.

2005 (RS Freshman): Made four appearances out of the bullpen … Threw four innings, striking out two batters … Opponents hit just .143 against him.

2004: Took a redshirt.

High School: Lettered three seasons of baseball and two seasons of football at Lawrence Free State High School … Was named Free State[apos]s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior … Named to the All-Sunflower League first team as a pitcher … Was a second team all-state pitcher as a senior … Named the Free State baseball team MVP … Helped FSHS capture the Sunflower League and the district championship … Led the Firebirds to their first-ever State championship berth while setting the record for wins in a season (19) … Was part of a team ranked first in the state of Kansas and fifth in the Midwest Region by USA Today.
