Summer 2007: Went 7-3 with a 1.83 ERA in 13 starts for the Duluth Huskies of the Northwoods League … Fired the first no-hitter in team history (7/17), holding the Brainerd Blue Thunder hitless for seven innings in the first game of a doubleheader … Selected to the league[apos]s all-star team in both the first and second half of the season … Allowed just 53 hits in 83 2/3 innings, collecting 83 strikeouts … Teammate of current Jayhawks Justin Ellrich, Robby Price, Nick Czyz and Shaeffer Hall.

2007 (Sophomore): Posted a 5.52 ERA over 16 appearances … Led the Jayhawks in starts (15), innings pitched (89.2) and strikeouts (91) … Struck out a career-high 10 batters against Oklahoma State (3/25) … In his first start of the season, pitched six scoreless innings, giving up only three hits and striking out six in a win over Hawaii-Hilo (2/3) … Pitched seven scoreless innings of one-hit ball against Kansas State (5/4), taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning … His 91 strikeouts were tied for the eighth most single-season strikeouts in Kansas history … Recorded a 3.28 ERA over his final six starts, spanning 35.2 innings.
