Summer 2009: Pitched for the Palm Springs Power in the Southern California Collegiate Baseball Association … Posted a 7-0 record with an 0.49 ERA in 37 innings … Allowed opponents a .196 batting average and recorded 46 strikeouts … Named to the SCCBA All-Star team.

2009 (Junior): Made a school-record 39 appearances for the Jayhawks … Posted a 3-2 record with a 5.80 ERA in 40 1/3 innings … Recorded 39 strikeouts … Made first of two starts against North Dakota (March 4), allowing a run on three hits to pick up first win … Did not allow a run over nine-straight appearances (March 7-March 27) … Earned a pair of wins in series sweep of No. 1 Texas (March 21 and 22) … Struck out three in 2 1/3 innings of relief against No. 17 Oklahoma State (April 11) … Did not allow a run over his final 14 relief appearances (April 26-May 29).

2008 (At Johnson County CC): Helped team to a 41-16 record for head coach – and former Jayhawk – Kent Shelley … Went 11-3 with a 2.69 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 15 starts … Opponents hit just .246 against him … Tossed six complete games, including a shutout.
