2008 (Jr.): Named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention… Also tabbed All-Big 12 Honorable Mention by the Associated Press… Was a third-team league pick by Phil Steele Magazine… Earned Academic All-Big 12 Second Team honors as well… Is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 pick, as he earned first team honors in 2007… Shared KU[apos]s Gale Sayers Most Courageous Player award with Kerry Meier… Started 10 games on the year… Became the featured running back in conference play and 774 of his 860 rushing yards (90 percent) on the season came in the eight league games and the bowl game… Rushed for 12 touchdowns on the year… Posted three 100-yard rushing games on the year, including a career-best 181 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries against Kansas State… Other 100-yard games were 118 against Colorado and 103 at Oklahoma… Became the first running back in school history to record 100 receiving yards in a game when he had three catches for 107 yards at Iowa State… Added 79 rushing yards in that game as well for 186 yards from scrimmage… Had a rushing and receiving touchdown vs. the Cyclones as well… Ranks 13th on the KU career rushing list with 1,810 yards… Broke into the KU top 10 in both season and career touchdowns with a score against Minnesota in the Insight Bowl.

2007 (So.): Ranked 12th in the Big 12 and 92nd in the NCAA in rushing (63.15)… Shared time at tailback, carrying 147 times for 821 yards and seven touchdowns on the season… Started the Colorado game… Had double-figure rushing attempts in eight different games… His 821 rushing yards on the year were the most by KU[apos]s second-leading rusher since 1975… Averaged 5.6 yards per carry… Rushed for 100 yards in three different games… Best statistical game was 127 yards on 13 carries against Toledo… Ran for 110 yards and a score on 18 rushes against Baylor… Opened the year with a 106-yard, one-touchdown performance on 15 attempts against Central Michigan… Rushed for one touchdown in seven of the first nine games of the season… Had at least one rush of 10 or more yards in 10 games on the season… Recorded 21 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns on the season… Had a career-best six catches vs. Colorado (for 18 yards)… Had four catches for 30 yards against Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl… Caught touchdown passes against Southeastern Louisiana and Nebraska.

2006 (Fr.): Played in all 12 games as a running back and on special teams… Carried the ball 21 times for 129 yards… Averaged 6.1 yards per carry… Had a season-long 27 yard carry against Oklahoma State… Caught six passes for 73 yards and averaged 12.2 yards per reception… Had a season-long 42 yard reception versus Colorado… Returned five kickoffs and averaged 15.2 yards per return.

High School: Named the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Kansas in 2005… Earned EA Sports all-america honors as a multi-purpose player as a senior… Was recognized as a Top 11 all-state running back by the Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle as a junior and senior… Set a state of Kansas record with 63 touchdowns… Ranked as the No. 1 player in the state of Kansas by Rivals.com… Is the all-time leading rusher in the history of the school with 6,524 career rushing yards — the second-highest total in KSHAA history… Helped the Mustangs to an undefeated state championship as a senior in 2005… Team also captured the state title in 2002… Coached in football by Marvin Diener… Earned varsity letters in football and track and field… A three-time 5A state champion in the long jump… A four-year member of the school[apos]s honor roll.
