Calvin Rubles

2010 (Sr.): Played in 10 of 12 games… Started at cornerback against Texas A&M… Responded with a season-high five tackles against the Aggies… Matched that with five tackles against Colorado… Made 23 tackles on the season.

2009 (Jr.): Saw action in seven games on the season… Played at cornerback as well as on special teams… Made six tackles on the season… Had three tackles in the season opener against Northern Colorado… Made two stops at Texas… Also had one tackle against Duke.

Junior College: Arrived on KU[apos]s campus for Spring of 2009… A transfer from Tyler JC… Played defensive back for two seasons… An all-conference first team selection as a sophomore… Recorded 45 tackles, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries… Team was 5-4 in 2008.

High School: A two-year letterwinner at Berkner HS… An all-state second team defensive back… Earned all-region honors… As a senior, had 48 tackles and six interceptions… Also an all-state basketball player… Recruited at the D-I level in both football and basketball.

Personal: Son of Barbara Rubles and Hosie Perkins… Has three siblings… Major is history with a minor in African and African-American studies.
