2008 (So.): Earned SI.com All-America Honorable Mention honors… Named All-Big 12 Second Team… Earned Insight Bowl Offensive MVP honors… Shared KU[apos]s Most Improved Offensive Player award with Kerry Meier… Ranked fourth in the NCAA with 108.23 receiving yards per game, while also tying for 15th nationally with 7.08 receptions per game… Had 92 receptions for 1,407 yards and 15 touchdowns… The 1,407 yards and 15 touchdowns were school records… Also set school records for single-game receptions (14 vs. Minnesota tied the record), single-game yards (269 at Oklahoma), season 100-yard games (seven), consecutive 100-yard games (four), and career touchdowns (22)… His 135 receptions in just two seasons are second in school history to Mark Simmons (155)… His 269 yards against Oklahoma were the most in the NCAA in 2008… He was one of two players in the country with multiple 200-yard games, as he also had 201 in the Insight Bowl against Minnesota… Had three of the top 38 receiving yardage games in the country, as he also had 176 at Nebraska… Caught a touchdown pass in 10 of 13 games, including seven of the last eight contests… Returned kickoffs for the first time in his career in the regular season finale against Missouri and had 195 yards on seven returns for a 27.85 average… Had a pair of 40-yard returns in the game as well… Had one kickoff return for 24 yards in the bowl game.
2007 (Fr.): Started the last 11 games of the season while playing in all 13 contests… Was fourth on the team in receptions (43), third in receiving yards (496), and second in touchdown receptions (seven)… His seven touchdowns were a school freshman record for a season and tied for fourth on the KU season list for all players… His first collegiate reception was a 16-yard touchdown in his debut against Central Michigan… Best game statistically was seven catches for 94 yards against Missouri… Had a season-long 34-yard reception against Missouri as well… Had six catches at Texas A&M (49 yards) and again at Oklahoma State (43 yards)… Caught five passes against Nebraska for 52 yards and three touchdowns…. Had touchdown catches in four of his first six collegiate games.
High School: An all-district first team selection following his senior season in 2006… Had 37 catches for 708 yards and 11 touchdowns… Best game came against Bowie when he collected six catches for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns… Helped Cedar Hill to a record of 23-4 his last two seasons and a state championship in 2006… Earned two varsity letters in football… Coached in football by Joey McGuire.
