Career Honors: 2010: Team captain. 2009: KU[apos]s Gale Sayers Award as most courageous player, KU Offensive Player of the Week at UTEP.

2010 (Sr.): Was a team captain… Named KU offensive player of the week vs. Southern Mississippi… Started the season opener at center… Started 11 games at left guard… Made 24 consecutive starts to finish his KU career.

2009 (Jr.): Named the team[apos]s Gale Sayers Award winner as the team[apos]s most courageous player… Was KU[apos]s offensive player of the week at UTEP… Started all 12 games… Started the first eight contests at right guard before moving to left guard for the final four games.

2008 (So.): Saw action in almost every game as the top backup to both guard positions… Had a lot of quality playing time on the season.

2007 (Fr.): Played as a backup on the offensive line.

2006 (RS): Redshirted his first year at Kansas.

High School: Named all-state first team, all-district first team and all-metro second team as a senior… An all-state first team and all-district selection as a junior… A top-20 recruit in the state of Missouri by Rivals.com… Ended his high school career as the fifth-leading tackler in RHS history… Had a career-best 18 tackles against Jefferson City… Helped the Hawklets football team to district championships from 2003-05… Coached in football by Tony Severino… Earned varsity letters in football and basketball.

Personal: Born in Kansas City, Mo… Graduated with a degree in finance in spring, 2010 and is working on second major in managment and leadership… Main hobby is chess… Son of Mark and Claire Capra… Has two sisters… Father played football at William Jewell College and earned All-America honors.
