Career Honors: 2017: Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll (spring). 2016: KU’s Offensive Player of the Week (Texas).

2017 (Sr.): Played in eight games … Started three contests at left guard … SEMO: Started at left guard … Central Michigan: Started at left guard … Oklahoma: Started at left guard. 

2016 (Jr.): Started all 11 contests he played at left guard … Credited with a team-second-best 29 knock-down blocks by the coaching staff … Rhode Island: Earned the first start of his career at left guard and helped KU gain 570 yards in its victory … Ohio: Picked up his second-straight start at left guard … at Memphis: Started at left guard and had a team-second-best seven knock-down blocks in 2016 as assessed by the coaching staff … TCU: Registered three knock-down blocks and earned a 76 percent pass grade, helping the Jayhawks to 348 passing yards … at Baylor: Posted one knock-down block against the Bears … Oklahoma State: Didn’t miss an assignment as assessed by the coaching staff and also recorded two knock-down blocks against the Cowboys … at Oklahoma: Started at left guard and totaled a team-high-tying four knock-down blocks … at West Virginia: Tallied an 83 percent run protection grade against the Mountaineers … Iowa State: Collected four knock-down blocks and posted an 87 percent run protection grade against the Cyclones … Texas: Graded out at 85 percent and registered a team-best nine knock-down blocks in the victory over the Longhorns … at K-State: Recorded an 82 percent pass protection grade in helping the Jayhawks to 302 passing yards against the Wildcats.     

2015 (So.): Played in three contests against Memphis, Oklahoma State and Texas … Memphis: Saw the first action of his career and helped the Jayhawks to 194 rushing yards. 

2013-14 (Fr.-RFr. at Blinn College): Played one season at Blinn College under head coach Keith Thomas … Helped lead the Buccaneers to a 4-4 mark in 2014 … Earned second-team all-conference honors in 2014 … Started the season on the defensive side of the ball before moving to the offensive line … Sat out the 2013 season as a redshirt.

High School: Played for Chris Massey at Deer Park HS … Named first-team all-district in 2012 … Helped lead Deer Park to district titles in 2011 and 2012 … Also helped guide DPHS to the first round of playoffs in 2011 and the third round in 2012 … Earned letters in basketball and track.
