Travis Partridge is preparing for his third season on staff at Kansas. He is currently serving as the interim quarterbacks coach for the Jayhawks.

Partridge spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons in an offensive quality control role for Kansas, assisting with game planning, practice evaluation and planning and more. In March, 2021, he was elevated to the interim quarterbacks coach.

Prior to his time at Kansas, Partridge served as the quarterbacks coach at UT Martin. Under his guidance, UT Martin quarterbacks threw for 2,917 yards and 21 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 62.8. Quarterback Joe Hudson threw for 1,028 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for 250 yards and three more scores. Dresser Winn threw for 1,601 yards and 12 touchdowns, while adding three rushing scores and 48 yards on the ground.

Partridge arrived at UT Martin after spending the 2017 season as a graduate assistant at Delta State, working primarily with the quarterbacks. Delta State posted a 9-4 record in Partridge’s one season and averaged 30.1 points per game.

Before he entered the coaching ranks, Partridge, a quarterback himself, enjoyed a successful playing career. Partridge signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a priority free agent in 2014 before ultimately spending the season with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Partridge also saw success in the Indoor Football League with the Iowa Barnstormers, completing 310-of-525 passes for 3,524 yards and 64 touchdowns, while tallying 31 scores on the ground over two seasons. He completed 211-of-313 passes for 2,399 yards and 47 touchdowns and carried 186 times for 693 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2017.

The St. Joseph, Missouri, native played for his dad Jerry Partridge at Missouri Western from 2009-13. Partridge finished third on the career records lists in passes completed (551), pass attempts (949), pass yards (6,754), touchdown passes (70), and completion percentage (58.1). Partridge also set the career rushing touchdowns mark with 36 and ranks fourth in career passing yards per game (158.1).

Partridge, who is the son of Jerry and Pam Partridge, received his bachelors degree in physical education from Missouri Western State University in 2013.
