For the third time in program history, Kansas is headed to the Sweet Sixteen following a 3-1 victory over No. 20 Creighton on Friday night at D.J. Sokol Arena in Omaha. KU won the match by set scores of 25-13, 26-24, 19-25, 25-22.
A school record and facility record were broken at the season-opening Bob Timmons Challenge in Lawrence, Kansas on Saturday, as Alexandra Emilianov tied the school record in the shot put and Zach Bradford broke the facility record in the pole vault.
After taking down No. 19 Oregon 3-0, the Kansas Jayhawks are moving on to face the No. 20 (14) Creighton Bluejays in the Round of 32 in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. That match will take place on Friday, Dec. 2, and first serve is set for 7 p.m. CT.
