Coming off a 65 (-7) on Monday, Kansas sophomore Lauren Heinlein kept her momentum going and shot a final round 68 (-4) to finish second at the Lone Star Invitational at the Golf Club of Houston Tuesday. Heinlein’s three-round score of 206 (-10) establishes a new Kansas women’s golf 54-hole record.
Kansas sophomore Lauren Heinlein shot a 65 (-7) in the second round of the Lone Star Invitational at the Golf Club of Houston Monday. The Ocala, Florida, native’s 65 is the second-lowest round in KU women’s golf history.
The Kansas softball team will hit the road for a midweek clash against No. 19 Missouri on April 13. The game is slated for a 4 p.m. first pitch on the SEC+ Network with Nate Gatter and Ashley Moore on the call.
