PERSONAL
Son of William and Tanya Hanna … Has two sisters, Mackenzie and Madison … Dad, William; uncle, Dave; and grandpa, David, all attended KU … Cousins, Emily Hanna and Sam Hanna, are also attending KU … Majoring in business.

2016-17 | SENIOR (Fall only)
Hanna competed in all six tournaments in the fall season, keeping the streak of playing in every event in his time as a Jayhawk … Led the team in scoring with a 70.17 average … Recorded 14-of-18 rounds at even par or better … Placed in the top-15 in 5-of-6 rounds with two finishes in the top-5 … Earned his first career win with a dramatic back to back birdie finish at the Golfweek Conference Challenge (Sept. 30- Oct. 2) … Set school record and was one stroke from tying the NCAA record with a 10-under-par 61 at the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic (Nov. 4-6).

2015-16 | JUNIOR
Competed in all 13 of Kansas’ events, leading the Jayhawks in scoring two times … Finished the regular season with a 73.28 scoring average … Recorded a season-low 207 (-9) twice: at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational (Oct. 23-25) and the Desert Shootout (March 18-19), both the second-lowest three-round total of his KU career … Led the Jayhawks in scoring during the team’s first victory of the season at the Badger Invitational (Sept. 27-29) … Ranked third on the team with a total of six top-20 finishes on the season.

2014-15 | SOPHOMORE
Led the Jayhawks in 10 different categories including events played (12), scoring average (72.3), and rounds in the 60’s (8) … Finished in the top-five of two different individual events … Placed third at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational (Oct. 24-26), which was his lowest tournament score of the season (200, -16) … Shot a total of 19 rounds that were even or under par … Recorded a career-low round of 66 twice: at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational (Oct. 24-26)(-6) and the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic (Nov. 7-0) (-5).

2013-14 | FRESHMAN
Led Kansas in scoring at seven of his 11 events during an outstanding freshman season … Two top-10 individual finishes … Best finish was tied for fifth at the Badger Invitational … Posted a season scoring average of 73.24
Shot seven rounds even par and seven rounds under par … Low tournament score was a 3-under with scores of 71, 71 and 71 – tallying a 213 – at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate … Shot a season low 70 (-1) on October 22, 2013, at the Herb Wimberley Intercollegiate.

SHAWNEE MISSION EAST HS
Recipient of the 2013 Kenneth Smith Award, presented to the top male golfer in the Kansas City area based on performance, academics, leadership and community service … Won 12 tournaments over his high school career, including six first-place finishes  his senior year at Shawnee Mission East High School (SMEHS) … Three-time Sunflower League individual champion (sophomore, junior and senior seasons) … Two-time regional tournament champion, his junior and senior campaigns … Led SMEHS to two top finishes in the Kansas State Golf Tournament his freshman and sophomore years … Helped the Lancers to three Regional Championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013 … Won the 2013 Kansas Amateur and the 2013 Kansas Junior Amateur, making him the first player to win both tournaments since 1961 … Champion of the 2013 Missouri Junior Amateur … 2013 Kansas City Golf Association Junior Player of the Year … 2011 Pepsi Little People’s champion in Quincy, Illinois … Multiple top-five and top-10 finishes in American Junior Golf Association tournaments … Set course records at three different courses: Meadowbrook Golf Club (64), Prairie Village, Kansas; Eagle Bend (64) in Lawrence, Kansas; and Meridian Hills Country Club (63) in Indianapolis, Indiana … Recognized in Sports Illustrated “Faces in the Crowd” section in the July 22, 2013 issue … Member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll.
